I unlocked one item so far because everything was 'Do x crits' 'deal x dmg with crits' kill enemys with crits' and so on.. Crit rating vs crit damage and hard caps (I think) 1 5 more damage (or more depending on champion points or mundus). That said the spire tactical consoles grant 1 6% critical chance VS 8% critical severity.. First I thought I would get a nice crit based weapon untill I saw the outcome and never touched those items again.. (20% Critical Damage from five pieces of gear and 40% Critical Damage from Armor Rune).. That means unless your critical chance is already at the 1:5 ratio the extra chance is better.. As you increase critical chance you do more damage from more You can easily hit over 100% Critical Chance (though there is no point) and you can only get a maximum of 140% Critical Damage from equipment and runes. I'd rather reroll then waste my time with this items If you have 30% critical hit chance and deal 300% critical damage that is the ideal ratio.. The percent you see on your sheet is the chance you toon has to crit Nothing happens if your crit is too high, people have ran around with 100% crit chance.
